Elements of the US 40th Infantry Division are transferring responsibility of their sector to elements of the Australian 5 Div/36th Infantry Battalion. Meanwhile, Japanese forces from the 17th Infantry division still patrol the surrounding jungle.

About The Event
Description: This is a private tactical event based on the New Britain Campaign in the Fall of 1944. Battle times are tentatively set to Saturday 0900 - 1700 and Sunday 0600-1100.
Sponsoring Unit: 36th Infantry Battalion (5Kp. GD)
Battle Fee: $30
RSVP Requirement: Please RSVP for the event so we have a detailed list.
Accommodations: As a full immersion event, all participants will sleep in the field in foxholes.
Impressions: Only Authorized impressions are:
Axis: Japanese Army/Naval Infantry
Allied: US Army 40th ID or Australian 36th Infantry Battalion
No Other Impressions are authorized.
Scenario: Japanese and Allied forces will conduct patrols and fight over control of defensive positions.
COVID Information: For the safety of all participants, it is highly recommended you do not travel or engage in high risk activities 14 days prior to the event to decrease your risk of contracting COVID-19. It is also highly recommended you get tested for COVID-19 the week prior to the event. All participants must check in at arrival to turn in their waivers and receive a temp check.
No participants are required to stay overnight at the site. Participants are welcome to find alternate lodging offsite if they prefer.
